Your new role
This role involves working in partnership with stakeholders to ensure the organisation is well-led and high-performing, achieving its strategic and operational objectives. You will support the Chief People Officer in building people practices, lead the People/HR function, and provide a robust framework supported by reliable, client-focused, efficient systems and processes. You will also lead the EDI & Staff Engagement functions and embed good people management practices that reflect the organisation\’s values of being innovative, inclusive, and influential. Your responsibilities include supporting and coaching managers to be confident, enabled, and empowered leaders who engage and inspire their teams. You will focus on ensuring employees have access to regular and relevant development opportunities to perform their roles safely, effectively, and compassionately, helping them reach their full potential. Additionally, you will promote regular, constructive two-way communication throughout the organisation to ensure employees feel informed, valued, and engaged with organisational objectives.
What you\’ll need to succeed
- Knowledge of human and organisational dimensions of change, learning, and development.
- Knowledge of how organisational development can be used to effect positive outcomes.
- Knowledge of management and leadership theories and best practices.
- Skills to devise and use tools (process and behavioural) for working with teams and individuals.
- Ability to influence stakeholders across challenging environments – being politically astute.
- Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex information to all levels of the organisation.
- Strong project management skills: planning, delivering on timescales, managing expectations, and reporting progress.
- Ability to act as a role model and advocate for best people practices.
