The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

The successful candidates will participate in and contribute as part of the team maintaining and renewing roads, footways and undertaking general civil engineering works. These works may include roads and footway surfacing, street lighting tracking, hard landscaping, masonry, kerbing, ironwork, concrete, traffic management, emergency reactive works and partaking in summer and winter standby duties, ensuring that Stirling Council's objectives are met. The successful candidates will work from our depot in Stirling. Stirling Council's Roads Services cover all areas of Stirling Region including the historic City of Stirling and the beautiful rural areas. The successful candidates will have opportunities for training and development as individuals and as part of the wider Roads Services team within Environment and Place.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for all health and safety of the squads/contractors under their supervision, in conjunction with ensuring the health and safety of members of the public and other stakeholders.
  • Assist the roads supervisors by directing and overseeing the operatives/contractors under their remit.
  • Adhere to works programme as instructed by supervisors and other officers.
  • Assist and participate in summer and winter standby duties.
  • Ensure all works are carried out to specification on site.
