Sales Assistants will be responsible for assisting customers, providing excellent customer service, handling sales transactions using a point of sales system, and helping to ensure the store is well-stocked and clean.
Working pattern:
- 36 hours per week
- Monday to Saturday
- AM or PM shifts (7:45-13:45 or 13:15-19:15)
- Occasional additional hours to cover staff absence
Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good personal hygiene and presentation
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is a bonus
- Ideal candidates will be advocates of wholesome food (avoiding Ultra-Processed Foods)
- Willingness to build expert product knowledge to sell and recommend our products
Salary:
- Dependent upon age and experience:
- 18-20 year olds: Starting at £10.05 per hour
- 21+ year olds: Starting at £12.25 per hour

We are a local independent delicatessen and grocery store in Neath, South Wales. Our founders are the family behind Rosa's Bakery, the hugely popular artisan bakery founded just two years ago. A flagship retail unit has been secured in the centre of Neath town which has been equipped across two floors to a high standard. We value wholesome, local and organic food. We strictly screen products and ingredients to avoid any ultra-processed foods. We are working with local farmers, growers, food producers and the NPT food partnership to invest in the local food scene. In addition to our extensive range of fine groceries, we also offer a lunchtime menu and ready-made evening meals for takeaway.
