As a Class 1 LGV Driver for our Transport Department, you will be responsible for executing bulk collections and deliveries between various DPD sites and customers nationwide. This role is critical to maintaining our supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Operate modern, well-maintained fleet vehicles on predetermined shift patterns
- Conduct deliveries to HGV-friendly locations with utmost professionalism and punctuality
- Execute trailer swaps or oversee live unloading and reloading of trailers, adapting to individual customer requirements
- Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all deliveries and collections
- Ensure the proper handling and security of all goods in transit
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Represent DPD with the highest standards of professionalism in all customer interactions
Qualifications
To be considered for the role you must have:
- A valid UK Class 1 Driving Licence
- A valid UK CPC Card
- A valid UK Digital Tachograph Card
- Ability to load / unload trailers where needed
