We have an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our B2B logistics team. This fast-paced role will suit any individual with experience in the global logistics industry. The role will support a variety of areas within the business, from report building to monitoring multiple shipments globally through road, air & sea, also maintaining business relationships with key customers. The successful candidate will support directly in the day-to-day wholesale business for high value lanes globally and will be comfortable completing solo tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse parcel carrier performance through internal and external reporting tools
- Build on external relationships with freight forwarders & parcel carriers
- Monitor day-to-day activities for multiple international destinations
- Booking, tracking and seeing all domestic moves through to completion
- Monitor internal processes and be able to identify areas for improvement
- Consolidate orders from multiple suppliers globally based on requirements for wider business
- Work closely with freight forwarding partners to oversee global shipments through to completion
- Work closely with the supply chain team to track consumer requirements and needs
- Work collaboratively across all teams & departments
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in international logistics.
- General understanding of a variety of transport modes
- Comfortable in a fast-paced and ever-changing business environment
- Knowledge of international documentation, regulations, and import/export requirements
- Maintaining relationships with external providers.
- Excellent planning and organisation skills.
- Flexible approach and willingness to further learn & adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Competent use of basic software platforms for order tracking & reporting
- Good understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Dealings with EU and international shipping and freight compliance & regulation procedures
- Dealings with multiple vendors and costs, time control and constraints
- Hands on experience of customs import and export procedures, documents, HS Codes & Duty and VAT
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills
- Computer literacy (Microsoft suite) Excel, Word, Outlook
- Good interpersonal skills
- Organisation, planning and ability to prioritise tasks as needed
- Proactive & driven with a positive can-do attitude
