Primary Teaching Assistant (SEN) Prospero Teaching are working with an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rated SEN School based in Christchurch, Dorset recruiting a Primary Teaching Assistant (SEN). The School are looking for individuals that are supportive, non-judgemental, patient, easy to talk to, positive and flexible. You must be able to speak to pupils in a manner which encourages and supports them, enabling you to build trusting relationships. Previous experience of working with young people is desirable. Experience with autistic children and those with social communication difficulties would be an advantage. A team player with patience, understanding and a willingness to develop is needed. Working hours are 08.45am – 15.30pm Contract Details – Primary Teaching Assistant (SEN) Location: Christchurch, Dorset Position: Primary Teaching Assistant (SEN) Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Long Term / Permanent Duration / Likely Duration: Ongoing Full time/part time: Full Time Minimum rate of pay: £400-450 per week Experience, Training and Qualifications: Calming mannerisms in challenging situations. Strong behaviour management skills while creating a fun learning environment. Driven to motivate the pupil and increase his participation. The ability to grow individual personal development. Be caring, patient and have good communication skills. Be self-reflective, have a willingness to learn and demonstrate initiative. Experience supporting an individual with Autism. Willing to complete Safeguarding online training.
