ECS Limited offers a unique opportunity for a talented Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Staff Professional to join our Milwaukee team and grow within a dynamic work environment. In this role, you will work under the guidance of experienced professionals to learn and perform a variety of tasks, including field work and the early stages of project management.
Responsibilities
- Assist staff with field tasks supporting construction materials testing projects; some office work may be involved as you learn about the project lifecycle.
- Conduct field testing of materials such as soils, aggregates, foundations, concrete, masonry, steel, asphalt, and fireproofing.
- Document site observations and results in daily reports using proprietary software.
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients, keeping the team informed of site conditions and additional testing needs; attend project meetings as required.
- Begin learning how to classify soil.

What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED; a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Earth Sciences, Engineering Technology, or related field is preferred.
- 5 years of relevant field or lab testing experience, or 1-3 years with a degree.
- Ability to lift at least 85 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance.
- Interest in project management, consulting, and business development.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
- Understanding of CMT principles and ASTM standards.
- Ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
