The role involves strategic leadership of the Corporate Accounting and Accounts Payable teams, supporting the council\’s medium to long-term financial strategy, maintaining services during challenging times, and identifying opportunities for community benefit. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the Corporate Accounting and Accounts Payable teams in line with strategic objectives. Provide high-quality financial management information and professional advice to senior management and budget managers. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior officers and management teams. Deliver insight and analysis to support strategic decision-making. Candidate Requirements CCAB qualified accountant, educated to degree level or equivalent. Experience and knowledge of Local Government Finance and relevant legislation. Experience managing budgets, ideally in a local authority setting. Experience managing teams, preparing reports, and contributing to strategic planning.
