Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Cleaner to work in a specialist SEN school based in Chorley. This is a part-time, term-time role with some holiday hours for deep cleaning. The position starts on a 12-week temporary basis through Teaching Personnel, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent contract.

Hours: 16 hours per week

Start Time: Ideally 5:00am starts, but afternoon shifts may be considered for suitable candidates

Location: Chorley

Contract: Temporary with potential for permanency

Working Pattern: Term-time with additional holiday hours for deep cleans

  • Cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas to a high standard
  • Ensuring a safe, hygienic environment for pupils and staff
  • Following the school's cleaning schedule and health & safety policies
  • Supporting the wider site team as required

Requirements:

  • Previous cleaning experience preferred (school or care setting), but not essential
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Comfortable working around children and young people with additional needs
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (support available from Teaching Personnel)
