The Vacancy
Our client has a vacancy for one or two workers to support their twin daughters, who have diagnoses of Autism, display behaviours associated with Pica disorder, and are non-verbal. The role involves supporting the daughters in accessing the community and participating in recreational activities, with occasional personal care required.
The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, be creative, fun, caring, understanding, and open-minded. Since the daughters do not identify danger or risk, it is vital that the candidate is alert and prioritises safety. They are fun-loving with a great sense of humour and enjoy activities such as swimming, trips to arcades, painting, crafts, and music, but are open to any fun activity.
The role is 3 hours per week per child, based in Scunthorpe, with hours outside of school time, ideally on weekends. Due to the nature of the role, an enhanced DBS check will be required, which will be funded.
