Your Impact
You will be part of McKinsey’s Ethics and Compliance (E&C) function and will be based in Europe/EEMA. The E&C function’s mission is to manage risks to our Firm, our clients, and our people, while also enabling our Firm’s client impact and innovation. The E&C function is a globally integrated team within the second line of defense of our Firm. McKinsey has an E&C program that is structured to ensure it is well designed, empowered to function effectively, and works in practice. Our E&C program includes a clear message that misconduct is not tolerated as well as policies, procedures, training, monitoring, and consequence management to ensure the program is well-integrated into our Firm’s operations and workforce.
This opportunity works in the Client and Regulatory Compliance pillar, responsible for instilling trust that our Firm serves clients and communities with integrity and adheres to regulatory requirements. In this role, you will execute and implement our Firm’s Center of Excellence (COE) Diligence program. You will play a critical role in helping scale our Firm’s diligence process from a global perspective.
You will help evolve the way diligence is performed on new and existing clients and higher-risk third parties, supporting refinement of our approach to risk ratings and prioritization criteria, maintaining relevant data, and informing our view of our risk posture to ensure appropriate action on risk findings. You will conduct the due diligence process and prepare comprehensive memos for key stakeholders. You will help drive operational excellence, process improvements, and operational model enhancements within the COE Diligence.
As a member of the Client and Regulatory Compliance team and E&C function, you will contribute and be a thought partner within the function, supporting key organizational, operational, or strategic initiatives. You will engage in regionally focused initiatives, such as infusing our integrity agenda, under the direction of regional E&C leaders, to raise awareness of and further our Firm’s E&C program, along with other activities in your region or location.
Collaboration is key. You will work with a cross-functional and senior stakeholder group (e.g., Legal, Risk) across our Firm in a timely and efficient manner. You will collaborate closely with COE Regulatory to conduct regulatory screening on clients and any shareholders, directors, and managers identified in open sources as part of due diligence.
Finally, you will play a critical role in sustaining and evolving our E&C program and upholding our commitment to integrity and lawful practices.
