We are looking for a Senior Digital Product Designer to join our small (but mighty) team and help keep us ahead of the market, joining us through our next stage of growth. You will be tackling some of the most exciting and complex design challenges of your career alongside a close-knit but distributed design team. Our platform is a desktop-like web application, designed to be highly adaptable. We are continually testing, gathering feedback, and iterating the design so that we can improve the user experience. We are excited to be broadening our reach into new territories and markets with more and more use cases.
As Senior Digital Product Designers, our purpose is to gain a deep understanding of our end users and their behaviour so that we can deliver tailored solutions that provide context and help with decision making. The ideal candidate will have worked on data rich, complex platforms before, and it is important that you help us to realise our vision through good system design. We are looking for someone who can see the big picture and use their UI, UX and visual design skills to help evolve our products.
As the Senior Digital Product Designer, you will:
- Take a user-centred approach to designing and implementing new functionality within the Quantexa product range
- Take the lead with design discovery and research
- Organise and conduct user and stakeholder interviews
- Plan and facilitate usability testing sessions
- Run a variety of design discovery workshops
- Produce rapid prototypes based on your learning
- Clearly distil and communicate output from a design discovery phase to stakeholders and other team members
- Design high fidelity prototypes as well as evolve and maintain a design system and UI library
- Think in 'systems and patterns' and understand our platform approach
- Clearly present detailed prototypes focusing on what might be important for your audience (SMEs, Engineers, Stakeholders)
- Create interactive prototypes to test your ideas
- Evolve the Digital Product Design practice at Quantexa and help to establish a design centric approach within the company
Requirements
The ideal candidate would:
- Have extensive experience in UI/UX and Digital Product design
- Understand objective led product life cycles and its various inputs and outputs
- Have experience working on complex, data heavy platforms in agile development teams
- Experienced in data visualisation, choosing methods that help our users make confident decisions
- Be able to translate high-level requirements into intuitive and functional user interfaces
- Be aesthetically minded and have strong attention to detail (layout, colour, typography), all applied with consideration for accessibility and consistency
- Be proficient in industry-standard software such as Figma (for prototyping), Photoshop and Illustrator (for asset creation)
- Be passionate about product design, understanding and solving our customers challenges
- Be a strong communicator to all levels, from junior developers to senior staff, our customers and end users
- Be consistently up to date with and a champion of the latest UI trends, techniques and technologies
- Have experience working in agile development environments
