Our client, a national public organisation, is currently seeking an Operations & Relationship Manager (Facilities Manager) to oversee a group of their sites in and around East London/Essex. The candidate must have a driving license and access to their own transport, as travel around the region will be required. This role is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract and is part-time, with the following hours:

  • Monday – 9am – 5.30pm
  • Tuesday – OFF
  • Wednesday – OFF
  • Thursday – 9am – 5.30pm
  • Friday – 9am – 5.30pm

Total of 22.5 hours per week.

The Senior Operations & Relationship Manager will report to this role, which involves managing the day-to-day operations of the sites, ensuring safety and efficiency, and working closely with tenants to maximize satisfaction and utilization.

Facilities Manager Responsibilities include:

  • Act as the main point of contact for tenant liaison and onsite issues.
  • Arrange, chair, and facilitate tenant meetings, including site user groups and health and safety meetings, promoting engagement and problem-solving.
  • Coordinate support for tenant work requests, assist with approval procedures, and liaise with the Helpdesk.
  • Support site visits by contractors and safety officers, including fire risk assessments.
  • Handle contracting requests such as work permits, risk assessments, and audits.
  • Manage key allocation records and coordinate key and fob distribution.
  • Maintain and review fire risk assessments, escalating actions as needed.
  • Keep records of FM contract obligations, including maintenance and lifecycle works.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in Facilities Management, including financial management and budget monitoring. Experience in a healthcare environment is advantageous. In return, the client offers an annual salary of up to GBP 40,000 (pro-rata) and mileage reimbursement for travel beyond the primary site.
