General Warehouse Operative

AM2PM Castleford is excited to be recruiting several Warehouse Operatives for a prestigious client in the Renfrewshire area, with immediate starts available!

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and respected business, known for its leading role in the supply of stationery and office products across the UK. You’ll be working in a modern, clean warehouse environment handling popular items such as pencils, pens, clipboards, notebooks, and other school and office essentials.

You will be responsible for:

Picking customer orders accurately using scanners or pick sheets

Packing products safely and securely for dispatch

Working in the dispatch department — preparing completed orders for collection and shipment

Receiving and putting away stock into the correct locations

General warehouse duties — stock counting, housekeeping, and ensuring all Health & Safety standards are met

Full training is provided — no previous experience required, just a positive attitude and willingness to learn!

Key Responsibilities:

Pick and pack a wide range of stationery items including pens, pencils, clipboards, notebooks, and more.

Accurately process orders ready for dispatch.

Assist with goods-in tasks, including receiving and shelving incoming products.

Maintain accurate stock control and quality standards.

Ensure warehouse areas are kept clean, safe, and well-organised.

Support your team and work towards daily and weekly targets.

Requirements:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Physically fit and able to perform tasks involving walking, standing, lifting, and stretching (some heavy lifting may be involved).

Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a friendly, professional team.

A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills.
