They manage a diverse portfolio of properties, including serviced accommodation (e.g., Airbnb) and Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs), across London. About the Role:
As a Construction Worker, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our client's properties. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, from routine maintenance to refurbishments and installations. You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure all properties are well maintained and meet the required standards. This role requires a hands-on approach, a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality. You may also be referred to as a Property Maintenance Operative within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing all construction and maintenance tasks related to property management.
- Handling refurbishments when required.
- Installing new kitchens, bathrooms, door locks and flooring when required.
- Conducting basic electrical work and heating system repairs as necessary.
- Assembling furniture and performing property removals as needed.
- Carrying out inspections, generating property condition reports, and handling emergency jobs.
- Assisting with stock orders and deliveries as required.
- Assisting with viewings in HMO properties.
- Dealing with onsite guest issues, if they arise.
- Ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Construction Worker or similar role.
- Experience in general building maintenance and repairs.
- Competent in basic plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
- Experience installing kitchens, bathrooms and flooring.
- Ability to assemble furniture and perform property removals.
- Ability to carry out property inspections and generate condition reports.
- Excellent problem solving and fault-finding skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid UK driving licence is essential.
- Experience working with HMOs or serviced accommodation is a plus.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Salary: £35,000 per annum. Company vehicle (van) provided for work purposes. Fuel allowance provided. 28 days of paid holiday, plus bank holidays.
