For Companies Honeycomb Jobs is working with a large charitable organisation to recruit Permanent Floating Support Workers across multiple locations (Belfast, Lisburn, Downpatrick, and Newry).
The Client
Supports young people aged 16-25 in the community.
The Role
The individual will be responsible for working with young people to build the skills and confidence needed to maintain their own homes.
Duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Providing holistic support on a one-to-one and group basis to all young people accessing the service.
- Adhering to NISCC standards of conduct and policies, including Child Protection, Adult Safeguarding, and lone worker protocols.
- Maintaining and reviewing accurate and up-to-date records of support provided to young people.
- Creating safety plans and ensuring regular reviews.
- Providing awareness of housing rights of young people and advocating on their behalf.
- Proactively maintaining a waiting list, prioritising cases, and providing regular support.
Qualifications/Experience
- One year of experience working with young people in supported housing, community-based support, or a similar environment.
- A full, current driving license and access to a car insured for business use.
- Being NISCC registered or willing to apply upon appointment.
Alternatively,
- A degree in Social Work, Youth and Community Work, or a related field.
- Six months of experience working with young people in supported housing or community-based support.
