About the role:
Over the last decade, CreativeX has powered millions of creative decisions through data for the world’s largest and most sophisticated brands. We’ve been first to market with industry-first products and technology, have best-in-class customer retention and growth rates, and we win on product every time. But we’re not winning on marketing: awareness of CreativeX is low and, in an increasingly noisy marketplace, confident articulation and understanding of our differentiation remains sub-par. We’re looking for a VP of Marketing to change this by transforming our marketing organization into a source of company advantage and growth.
This role will report to the CEO and be part of the company’s management team.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and execute a game plan to win hearts, minds, and market share of senior marketers at the leading consumer brands around the world.
- Own all parts of the customer communication journey: from awareness to perception to conversion to evangelism, you’ll be responsible for thinking about the end-to-end consumer journey and how we can improve it through effective marketing.
- Own the KPIs around marketing-generated leads, awareness and reach, and top of funnel conversion.
- Develop and lead a team of 7 clever and hardworking marketers (Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Content/Comms, Brand, and Events) who’ve bled CreativeX-rose to get the company to where it is today.
- Partner with heads of Revenue, Client Success, Partnerships, Product, and Finance to accelerate revenue growth, maintain retention, and deepen customer relationships.
Who you are:
- Someone who loves the startup growth game and thrives in ambiguous situations — you’re the person who loves making order out of chaos, seizing opportunity where others don’t think to look, who balances optimism with pragmatism. You flourish when given a responsibility and a sense of ownership.
- Someone who’s seen this movie before: if you’ve led or helped lead a marketing team for a B2B SaaS tech company as the company scaled from $25M to $50M+ in revenue, we want to hear from you.
- Someone who understands the enterprise sales cycle and how large enterprise companies make decisions.
- You’ve come up through the world of product marketing or growth marketing, but have an appreciation of all elements of a 360 marketing strategy (product, growth, brand, comms, events) and can pull them together into a rowing-in-one-direction strategy.
- A storyteller with a bias for data-driven decisions: you can appreciate and craft a good narrative and you know when to lean on data and how to use it to inform, but not dictate, your decisions.
- A student, and aficionado, of marketing. Whoever your marketing heroes are, we want someone who appreciates the craft and is constantly looking to perfect it.
- A strong team player but still a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth start-up environment.
- We don’t care about degrees or years in the game, but we do care about the battles you’ve fought and the learnings you’ve extracted so you can help us look around the corner and develop a winning game plan.
What we Offer:
- Fully paid medical, dental, and vision (US) and Private Medical Insurance and Health Cash Plan (UK).
- Generous time off + bank holidays.
- Education budget to be used for individual learning experiences or grouped with your team for joint learning.
- Annual subscription to Calm and Headspace for your mental wellbeing.
- Monthly coaching to talk to a trained professional about career goals, relationships, and personal development.
- Competitive salary and commission plan including stock options, as we believe that everyone should have a stake in the business.
- 4-month full pay parenting leave for all employees who have been with the company for one (1) year.
- Employee contributions to a 401(k) once they have completed their eligibility period.
