We are seeking a compassionate and committed Deputy Headteacher to join Wirral Virtual School on a fixed-term basis for 12 months.
About The Role
- You will support the Head of the Virtual School in the overall management and leadership of the Virtual School and in delivering its range of services.
- As the Deputy Headteacher, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the Virtual School Team.
- You will contribute to raising educational outcomes for Children Looked After (CLA), previously looked after children (PLAC), Children in Kinship Care, Children in Need, and Children on Child Protection Plans.
About The Candidate
- The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the challenges faced by children in the care of the local authority and of the role played by corporate parents.
- Previous experience as a member of a School Leadership Team, with responsibility as Designated Safeguarding Lead and Designated Teacher, is required.
