Education/SEN Lawyer – Local Government

Our Local Government client based in Oxfordshire is currently recruiting for a permanent Education/SEN Lawyer to join their team.

The position is available to start as soon as possible, with a salary of up to £54,702 per annum , depending on PQE.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within the Local Authority setting, specifically in Education Law & SEN.

Responsibilities include:

• Handling and advising on a varied caseload of SEN and Education Law cases, providing proactive support to the team
• Managing SEN cases and advising clients on Tribunal proceedings
• Carrying a personal caseload, including court work and hearings as required
• Providing expert legal advice and representation in Education disputes
• Conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and legal documents, and analyzing cases
• Assisting in negotiations and alternative dispute resolutions when appropriate
• Representing clients in Education Tribunals and advocacy as needed

Experience required:

• Knowledge of Education & SEN Law

Working hours:

• 37 hours per week
• Monday – Friday
