We are looking for an experienced and motivated WordPress Developer to join a dynamic in-house marketing team that also has their own internal design agency specialising in B2C dental and health marketing. This is an exciting role working with an entrepreneurial team where you will have the opportunity to shape the role and grow within the business. The role offers remote working with a monthly team meeting on site in Birmingham, salary £50k depending on experience.
The Company: Our client is a highly successful dental growth company with a vast network across the UK. They deliver strategic brand and creative marketing solutions for hundreds of dental and health marketing companies across the UK and they are experiencing good organic growth. They have strengthened their digital and creative team recently, with this role being a new addition and this is a great time to join them on their growth journey. They have won awards and treat their staff extremely well, making them a very desirable place to work.
About the role: As WordPress Developer, you will be reporting to their Head of Digital and be responsible for building responsive website solutions using WordPress as well as overseeing all of the front end development of their numerous websites, which are mainly created using bespoke custom WordPress themes. You will also manage existing websites for a number of their clients performing updates to content, general maintenance, QA testing and oversee the development of existing themes and, most importantly, bringing new ideas to the table.
About you: You are an experienced WordPress developer with strong front end development skills. You enjoy working within a team environment and have good communication skills and a can-do attitude. This role will grow over time and thus will need someone who can also roll up their sleeves and get stuck into the finer details and bread and butter work as this is initially a stand-alone position, but they foresee growth in time due to the nature and continued growth of the business. You are solutions focused and curious about ways to create better themes and templates, looking to create work that stands out and that you are proud of.
Experience needed to apply for this role:
- Strong experience working with WordPress and WordPress Theme development as well as various WordPress plugins.
- Proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, PHP for WordPress development.
- Experience with responsive web design and mobile-friendly website development.
- You are able to do monthly QA testing and browser testing.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for website optimisation.
- Proficient with a Mac with a high IT technical skill set.
- Always up to date with the latest trends and techniques.
