Senior Electronics Design Engineer Orion is working with a UK-based electronics manufacturer that has been in business for roughly 30 years. They provide customers with high-quality solutions across various fields, ranging from high-performance multi-layer PCBs to LED luminaires. They manufacture, assemble, and test PCBs for various industries and clients, including office, education, industrial, and urban lighting sectors. Job Overview As the Senior Electronics Design Engineer, you will be part of the design team, you will be responsible for the design of new products as well as maintaining and upgrading existing products. Manage design projects from a technical perspective, cost, and product brief from conception to volume manufacture. Responsibilities as the Senior Electronics Design Engineer Produce practical and cost-effective electronic designs with appropriate documentation. Schematic, PCB layout, mechanical, and software design for the product. Specification of microcontroller for embedded systems and programming in C. Ensure full test and validation of the design to specification before release for manufacture Lead DFM and support NPI. Work with Purchasing and suppliers so that designs can use the most appropriate cost-effective technology. Aid junior engineers to develop their skills. Requirements as the Senior Electronics Design Engineer Educated to a degree level in electronics. Experience in design for manufacturing environment. Experience with analog and digital circuits and PCB layout. Programming in C for embedded design. Programming in Python to facilitate testing solutions.
