Lead Verification Engineer

I am seeking a Lead Verification Engineer to join a dynamic and growing team based in Bristol. Over the past four years, the UK team has gone from strength to strength with its product portfolio, and this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced verification leader to join a global organisation recognised as a leader in their field.

As a Lead Verification Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing next-generation WiFi SoC products. You will take ownership of the verification strategy for complex ASIC designs, drive methodology improvements, and lead a small team of verification engineers, while remaining hands‑on in technical execution.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute verification strategies for WiFi SoC ASIC designs
• Develop and implement UVM-based testbenches and environments in SystemVerilog
• Collaborate with cross‑functional design and architecture teams to ensure first‑time success
• Mentor and guide junior verification engineers to ensure high‑quality deliverables
• Continuously improve verification processes, methodologies, and best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related discipline
• Proven track record in ASIC verification, ideally with experience in complex SoC designs
• Proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM methodology
• WiFi or wireless SoC experience is highly desirable
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and influence
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

What you’ll be doing day‑to‑day

You will lead verification efforts for WiFi SoC ASIC designs, define methodologies, and work closely with design and architecture teams. Alongside developing and deploying UVM‑based environments, you will coach junior engineers and ensure verification quality across the team.
