An exciting opportunity for an experienced Publishing Project Manager to join a prestigious, employee-owned academic publishing house. Based in Woodbridge, Suffolk, this hybrid role offers a competitive salary of £29,000 to £34,000 and the chance to be part of a globally recognised organisation. The ideal candidate will bring strong production knowledge and leadership capabilities to manage end-to-end publishing workflows and team coordination.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end project management of book production, both in-house and via external suppliers.
  • Supervise and support members of the production team to meet key publishing deadlines.
  • Collaborate closely with the Editorial team to ensure seamless handover of manuscripts.
  • Work with Partnerships colleagues to support third-party delivery requirements.
  • Contribute to wider business improvement initiatives and publishing process optimisation.

What Experience is Required

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in book production or a related editorial role.
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise across multiple departments.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary of £29,000 - £34,000 depending on experience.

Location

This role is based in Woodbridge, Suffolk with hybrid working (minimum two days per week in the office). Commutable from Ipswich, Felixstowe, Framlingham, Stowmarket, and Bury St Edmunds.
