West Hill Garden & Landscaping Services LTD is a garden maintenance and landscaping company that has been developing and growing for 11 years. We are a highly skilled friendly team with a passion for designing, building, and maintaining domestic and commercial outdoor spaces.
We are looking for an Experienced Horticulturist / Gardener to join us. This is a thrilling opportunity for an eager, adept gardener to be a part of a thriving business! West Hill is looking for a confident, productive and inventive person. You will need to be comfortable working independently or in a team and providing exceptional quality service throughout. You will be organised and have excellent communication skills.
You will be working in all weather, which requires a substantial level of physical fitness and health. As well as being motivated to learn and improve, you will need a strong work ethic and be reliable and committed. You will need to thoroughly complete necessary work documentation accurately, both handwritten as well as digitally.
The job will consist of working in a plethora of different landscapes based in and around the local area as part of the ongoing garden maintenance round. You will be wearing our branded clothing to allocated sites and providing top-calibre services. Interaction with customers is vital, so you should be confident talking to clients about their garden and suggesting improvements, planting and development.
Working day: 8am - 5pm with paid lunch break.
Duties include:
- Pruning (a keen passion for plant care is essential)
- Planting
- General border maintenance (plant ID is essential)
- Hedge cutting
- Diagnosis of diseases
- Weeding
- Composting
- Suggesting Improvements
Applicant must have:
- Level 2/3 or equivalent
- Proven practical gardening/horticulture experience, as well as a strong knowledge of plants
- A full clean driving licence is needed as the candidate will be travelling in a company van.
