CNC Operator / Machinist

BT Marine Propellers Ltd is a market-leading company based in Dawlish, South Devon that specializes in the design, engineering, and manufacture of propellers, stern gear, and underwater hardware for the global shipbuilding industry. We serve numerous world-renowned shipyards and boat builders across commercial, military, and mega-yachts industries worldwide.

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced full-time Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist to join the team at our on-site facility located in Dawlish. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various CNC machines, machining parts to exact specifications and performing quality control checks. The successful candidate will be required to work to deadlines, machining one off / small batches of components. Significant experience using XYZ CNC machines preferred.

Qualifications

1. Experience working with CNC machinery (Siemens Sinumerik, XYZ Proto-TRAK, Fanuc)
2. Knowledge of quality control procedures, including precision measurement tools
3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
5. Excellent attention to detail, a commitment to producing high-quality products
6. Experience in operating and maintaining machinery
7. Certification or a diploma in mechanical engineering or related field is a plus but not essential

Full time position, Monday to Friday (half day Friday)

Salary depending on experience.
