Reception Manager Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Take ownership for covering all reception shifts with a rota system.
  2. Ensure each new reception staff member goes through an induction and training programme.
  3. Monitor staff development and follow the Company appraisal system in conjunction with the Spa Manager.
  4. Manage the Reception team ensuring all treatments and fitness bookings are taken efficiently and accurately, and that all other administrative reception procedures are followed correctly.
  5. Generate sales leads through outreach activities and corporate events.
  6. Take prospective new members on show-rounds within Spa and Hotel Facilities.
  7. Contribute to the membership budget.
  8. Ensure Lygon membership benefits align with current trends and competitive set.
  9. Arrange and develop all Spa Events and provide appropriate costings within the department budgets.
  10. Complete monthly retention calls.
  11. Complete a weekly forecast spreadsheet.
  12. Ensure membership packs are completed in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  1. Must have previous Spa Supervisory or Management experience.
  2. Treatment background, including NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification desirable.
  3. Excellent communication skills and customer service required.
  4. Keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and confidence in communicating with the team.

Compensation:

£29,000 annual salary with service charge paid monthly (non-contractual) – circa £2,500 per year.
