As a key member of our Site Leadership Team, you’ll be the driving force behind the safe, efficient, and high-quality operation of two production plants within our fast-paced, 24/7 bakery environment. You’ll be responsible for leading & developing teams, managing change, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to ensure our fresh products reach our customers on time, in full, and to the highest standards. Essential Ingredients An experienced and proven manager of people, working in a manufacturing environment, ideally FMCG Willing to work a days based, 4 on 4 off shift pattern Strong financial acumen with experience in planning, budgeting, and KPI management. Proven ability to drive Continuous Improvement and implement strategic initiatives at the operational level. Experience of managing HR processes including absence-management, 121’s, employee engagement and performance improvement Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with an eye for detail and a knack for motivating teams. You’ll lead and engage your team to deliver the annual HSE plan and drive the HSE culture change through team involvement, ownership and responsibility for HSE activities. Cross functional working is a way of life within Warburtons and this role interacts with a variety of different areas of the business. You will need to be a credible, all-round operations manager and leader of people. Line efficiencies, damage levels, maintenance spend are all KPI’s along with quality, freshness and service level measures. The Role Continuous Improvement: Lead a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and implementing strategic initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize performance across the site. Leadership: Inspire, coach, and develop your team, empowering them to reach their full potential and deliver outstanding results. Change & Project Management: Oversee and manage change initiatives, ensuring smooth project execution and actively driving team engagement. Operational Excellence: Achieve key KPIs, including line efficiencies, quality, freshness, and service levels, through effective planning, performance monitoring, and cost control. Health, Safety & Environment: Champion HSE standards, fostering a safe workplace culture and ensuring full compliance with legal and company requirements.
