Production Operative

Portaramp is a well-established and reputable access solutions business based in Thetford, Norfolk. Operating within the UK and with an increasing level of activity in Europe, Portaramp manufactures high-quality portable ramps and storage solutions within the Vehicle, Building, and Transport sectors with a focus on the Rail Industry.

Production Operative Role:

To work as part of a team to build and assemble a range of products as required by the customer in a timely and efficient manner.

Production Operative Responsibilities:

1. Ability to read and comprehend manufacturing drawings and understanding of the job file system. Training Provided.
2. Ability to work to strict deadlines and close attention to detail.
3. Use of both air/powered hand tools and working with the manufacture of aluminium products.
4. Adherence to all Health and safety processes and procedures.
5. The preparation of materials, assembly, final finish and packing of our products ensuring quality is maintained.
6. To help and assist with installations and recertifications out on site when required by your manager.
7. Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.
8. Perform any other relevant tasks deemed necessary by your manager.

1. A professional approach with an ability to work on own initiative and to manage own workload.
2. Maintain consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance.
3. Good communication skills within the team.
4. Knowledge of using CNC machinery & power tools is desirable; however, not essential. Training will be provided if required.
