Business Development Manager | Wealth Management
Hitchin, Hertfordshire
Office-based , with potential for hybrid working in the future
Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm | Full-time, Permanent
£45,000 – £65,000 per year (DOE)
We\’re hiring on behalf of a highly regarded, long-established Independent Financial Advisory firm in Hitchin that is entering an exciting phase of growth.
This is an opportunity for a seasoned professional, perhaps a former Financial Adviser, Commercial Insurance Broker, Accountant, or Business Consultant, seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Business Development role in the wealth management space.
The firm is known for its integrity, long-term client relationships, and consultative approach to financial planning.
As Business Development Manager , you\’ll focus on generating new business opportunities, nurturing introducer relationships, and supporting the firm\’s continued growth. You\’ll work closely with a team of Chartered and experienced Financial Advisers, building strong networks and creating meaningful client introductions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business and introducer relationships.
- Represent the firm at meetings, networking events, and industry forums.
- Work collaboratively with advisers to ensure a high-quality client journey.
- Help shape the business development strategy and contribute to growth targets.
- Maintain detailed records and report on activity and opportunities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in financial services, accountancy, consultancy, or commercial insurance.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a natural relationship builder.
- Confident in client-facing environments, with a consultative approach.
- A proactive self-starter with a strategic mindset.
- Familiarity with financial advice or wealth management is highly beneficial.
- Private Medical Insurance (PMI)
- Death in Service and Income Protection Insurances.
