Senior Software Engineer iOS (Auto) FTC [UK] Requirements iOS Swift Objective C XCUITest UI automation AppStore connect TDD Location Salford/London Hybrid up to 2 days a week in the office eligibility to work in the UK Role overview We are seeking a Senior iOS Developer with expertise in automation to transform how we release value to our users. In this role, you will expand test automation coverage, streamline release processes, and build advanced testing frameworks to identify risks early. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, youll mentor engineers in automation best practices and drive a culture of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in Swift and XCUITest, with a strong background in unit testing, TDD, and UI automation. Youll have worked on large-scale applications, designed frameworks for test automation (e.g., network interception, deep-linking), and are familiar with SwiftUI functional programming, CI/CD pipelines, App Store Connect, and Charles. In this role, youll collaborate closely with product and delivery teams to refine, scope, and deliver new features and bug fixes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Essential Key Skills and Responsibilities Essential Skills: You will have: Extensive experience working on native app development using Swift and Swift UI Extensive experience for native iOS automation / ui testing frameworks such as XCUITest Passion and knowledge for testing, writing unit tests, TDD and UITests and broader testing concerns Experience identifying and monitoring metrics for improving app health such as analytics, error reporting and alarms. Developing new frameworks for test automation, such as network interception in existing apps, deep-linking / navigation to screens to test key user journeys Experience with large and complex applications, collaborate in the design, development, deployment and support of robust software for large scale applications, in a fast changing environment with rapid release cycles. Experience using AppStore Connect, CI/CD, Charles Proxy and the general App ecosystem Comfortable working with product and delivery team members on refining, scoping and delivery of features/bugfixes Desirable Skills Experience with trunk based development & release trains with feature flags A keen understanding in Agile methodologies, Scrum, Kanban, etc. Experience with TCA Architecture Experience of building accessible applications JavaScript / TypeScript / and other languages are a plus Tools MAC, Windows, iOS Experience A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or similar work based experience. Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer ideally with a focus on media-related projects. Very good working knowledge of standard software development frameworks, techniques and methodologies. Experience with providing coaching and mentoring Ability to work collaboratively in a team, contributing to the development of business scenarios. Knowledge of software development tools and technologies.
