School Cover Manager Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 Start Date: As soon as possible Location: Slough GSL Education is currently recruiting a number of Cover Managers for our client schools in Slough. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving school community and play a key role in maintaining the smooth operation of teaching and learning across the school. Key Responsibilities: Organising daily staff cover for planned and unplanned absences Coordinating with internal staff and external supply agencies Managing cover supervision timetables and maintaining up-to-date absence records Liaising with senior leadership and department heads to ensure continuity of teaching Supporting administrative tasks as required by the school office The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Previous experience in a cover management or school administrative role Strong working knowledge of SIMS or equivalent MIS Excellent organisational and time-management skills Ability to work under pressure and respond to last-minute changes effectively Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education) GSL Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
