Role Overview:

This role requires an inspirational leader with proven flair, commercial acumen, and the energy and determination to drive and develop the business. We are looking for a manager experienced in elevating the standards and reputation of a gym while nurturing a growing membership and team.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures outlined in the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook.
2. Maintain compliance with JD Gyms Brand Standards.
3. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections. Report and follow up on all defects to ensure the safety of the building and equipment.
4. Recruit and manage a team of Fitness Coaches and General Assistants to ensure the club operates smoothly and meets daily expectations.
5. Hold regular team meetings to support development and keep staff informed.
6. Work towards and aim to achieve all sales and membership targets.
7. Drive and maximize secondary revenue streams.
8. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness across the gym facility.
9. Oversee the in-house cleaning team to ensure cleaning standards are met. Manage weekly banking to minimize wastage and variances, maximizing profit.
10. Ensure all team members adhere to uniform standards.
11. Create an enjoyable work environment for the team.
12. Represent JD Gyms as an ambassador at all times.

Skills and Experience:

1. Proven management experience within the leisure industry.
2. Passionate about customer service and an inspirational leader.
3. Qualified at least to Level 2 Gym Instructor.
4. Successful track record in driving sales, local marketing, and team management.
5. Experience as a General Manager or similar operational role within a leisure facility is preferred.
