Your new company You will be joining a specialist and established insurance organisation that operates in the Lloyd’s of London and international markets. Part of a close-knit team in finance of 10, you will report to the IBA manager. You will be based in their modern City of London office with a luxury gym and their own barista on a hybrid basis. This role is a temporary role to assist with a backlog. Your new role The IBA Accountant will be responsible for managing and reconciling insurance broking accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of insurance accounting practices. Manage and reconcile insurance broking accounts (IBA) on a daily basis. Process and allocate receipts and payments accurately. Prepare and review monthly IBA reconciliations and reports. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Liaise with brokers, underwriters, and other stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and queries. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audits. Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.
