The Role: At University College Birmingham, we believe that education is more than a career-it's a calling. We are looking for a professional, dedicated, and student-focused Lecturer in Early Years and Education to join our vibrant team and play a central role in shaping the next generation of early years professionals. You will have the opportunity to deliver inspiring learning experiences across our Level 2 Early Years Practitioner and Level 3 T Level in Education and Early Years programmes. More than just a lecturer-you'll be a mentor, a guide, and a motivator, equipping learners with the confidence, compassion, and skills to create meaningful impact in children's lives.

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching to FE students preparing for careers in Early Years and Education.
  • Inspire learners by connecting theory to real-world practice in inclusive, creative ways.
  • Guide and support students through their academic and professional journeys, including placements.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of our forward-thinking curriculum and learning resources.
  • Provide personalised pastoral support that helps students thrive both academically and personally.

What We're Looking For:

  • A passion for child development, education, and empowering future practitioners.
  • A recognised Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years or a related subject.
  • Teaching experience or a strong background in mentoring within educational or childcare settings.
  • A teaching qualification-or a willingness to achieve one with our support.
  • A collaborative spirit, with the drive to innovate and the heart to nurture.
