Position: Long Term Teaching Assistant

Hours: Flexible
Contract Type: Fixed-Term (One Term, Two Terms, or Full Academic Year)

About the Role:

Randstad Education is seeking a committed and adaptable Teaching Assistant for a long-term role within our partnership schools in Burgess Hill. This position involves supporting the school for one term, two terms, or the entire academic year. You will play a key role in assisting teachers in the classroom, working with small groups, and providing 1:1 support to pupils as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
2. Work with small groups of students to enhance their learning and understanding.
3. Provide 1:1 support to pupils with specific learning needs, including SEN.
4. Assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
5. Help prepare and organise learning materials and classroom resources.
6. Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support student progress.

Requirements:

1. Experience working with children, ideally within a school setting.
2. A flexible and adaptable approach to working in different classroom environments.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
5. A patient, caring, and supportive attitude towards working with children.
6. Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are advantageous but not essential.
