Job Ref JM SS Part-time personal assistant for social support, £14.25 per hour Edinburgh

Personal Assistant Required to support a man in his mid-30s who has a visual impairment and uses a wheelchair. This is a social role involving support with managing paperwork such as budgeting and planning, as well as support in outings and socializing. This may involve trips swimming, to the gym, out in town, and eating out.

Post Details:
Post is for 6 hours per week, £14.25 per hour. The role is part-time and flexible, with 6 hours per week. Possibility for hours to increase in the future. Shifts are very flexible and to be discussed with the employer. There may be a need for PA support for a holiday, fully funded and paid.

Minimum Requirements:
No previous experience necessary, just a good sense of humour, good level of English, and good organisational skills. Applicant must be a part of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme or be willing to join.

Duties:

1. Assisting with correspondence and administrative tasks.
2. Trips out and socializing, supporting in going swimming, to the gym, visiting town, and small walks.
