Key role specific accountabilities To support the MGG Head of ESG Compliance through provision of compliance advisory and oversight activities in relation to sustainability regulation and commitments. Responsible for provision of high quality advice and independent challenge on sustainability, helping the business meet regulation and good industry practice. Represent ESG Compliance on sustainability related committees and working groups and cascade information as appropriate. Responsible for conducting a monthly horizon scanning of sustainability regulatory developments, including a monthly report and chairing the horizon scan working group. Provide compliance advice and support to sustainability regulatory change projects. Provide and support training on sustainability compliance related topics. Work closely with M&G regional Compliance teams in their implementation and management of sustainability compliance. Provide compliance support to regional and global sustainability initiatives and projects. Provide input to the Compliance Monitoring & Assurance Team regarding sustainability. Demonstrate a clear understanding of business priorities and expectations. Key knowledge, skills and experience Minimum requirements: A broad understanding of sustainability regulatory regimes in the EU and UK and general knowledge of US and Asia-Pacific sustainability regulatory environments applicable to asset management. Good knowledge of the wider financial services sector, in particular, relevant asset manager competitors, products and services. 7+ years experience in a Compliance and/or Regulatory Development role. Desirable requirements: An excellent understanding of the wider business, economic, regulatory and market environment in which M&G plc operates. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience of regulatory development horizon scanning. Very good understanding of Sustainability Finance regulations such as SFDR, EU Taxonomy, SDR and FCA anti-greenwashing rule. Good understanding of corporate sustainability reporting and disclosure regulations such as TCFD, CSRD and ISSB. Qualifications Educated to degree level, or equivalent qualifications/experience and/or professional qualification.
