27.5 hours, 39 weeks per year, Salary Pro Rata, Fixed term until 29th June 2025.

Broxburn Academy is a six-year comprehensive school serving the areas of Broxburn, Uphall, Uphall Station, Pumpherston, and Dechmont. We work closely with our cluster primaries, including Broxburn P.S, Kirkhill P.S, Uphall P.S, Pumpherston, and Uphall Station Community P.S, to ensure a consistent and holistic approach. Our current school roll is 872.

We are looking for an Advanced Pupil Support Worker to contribute to providing a safe, secure, and inclusive school environment. The Post Holder will work with and support a young person with ASD on a one-to-one basis. They will be part of the school team involved in implementing strategies designed to improve pupil performance in the following areas:

  • Progress in learning and attainment
  • Personal and social development
  • P7/S1 transition support
  • Behaviour
  • Relationships with peers
  • Relationships with staff

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
