Structured Solutions & Investments (SSI) is responsible for:

• Client-related liquidity optimization and (secured) financing: provide custom-made investment opportunities & Financing solutions to internal and external clients, with a focus on Emerging Markets and Financial Institutions
• Short- and long-term investment of surplus capital to generate additional income: use investments to generate attractive risk adjusted returns, not least to establish benchmark for capital management in commercial business
• Value-preserving reduction of legacy assets: management and exposure reduction of legacy portfolios.
• SSI is also the centre of competence for managing the risks of Commerzbank’s Pension Fund.
• As part of PBM SSI you will be part of a front office unit in continuous contact with SSI traders, for whom you will take on a supporting and advisory role. Together with the team, you will form the link between the operational risk takers of SSI and the other units of the bank.

Your tasks:

• Provide high level support to Traders, Structurers and Sales within SSI business and to liaise / work with all areas within Operations and Finance
• Support in the strategic development of SSI by running / supporting/ coordinating activities around new and ongoing projects to drive them forward in the interests of the bank.
• Help traders investigating on P&L and Risk problems when required, i.e. follow-ups with back office regarding trade breaks, booking management of risk relevant trades and ensure proper reconciliation with external counterparts
• Ensure implementation or maintenance of operational and regulatory requirements such as compliance, P&L processes, policies and operational risk for SSI.
• Proactively manage and streamline existing or new front to back process improvements to drive efficiencies
• Maintain operational risk levels to a minimum by ensuring that appropriate procedures are effective and adhered to
• Manage the New Product Process (NPP) approval and act as the interface between the front office and support functions to drive forward the process and derive effective solutions

Your profile:

• Professional experience in an interface function to a front office unit or a function with a focus on business and product management.
• Experience in project management and coordination of strategic initiatives
• Ideally you have extensive Middle Office Experience, particularly in Credit Products. You are familiar with capital market products and have a good understanding of digitization and processes.
• You have experience in setting up complex business cases, e.g. for strategic initiatives, and can represent them convincingly
• You inspire with your strategic ideas and with your presentation and communication skills.
• You have very good analytical and conceptual skills and can adapt flexibly to changes.
• Ideally you have experience working with front office trading systems (e.g. Apex, Summit, Loantrak and Bloomberg,)
• You have a good understanding of relevant regulatory requirements
• You are a team player with a positive and solutions orientated mindset.
• You have a university degree.
• You are fluent in English, and you enjoy working in an international team.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel)
