Job Description

Amazon is seeking an Analyst to join the team working on projects to build global indirect tax reporting tools. This team is part of Amazon\’s Tax Data Management Solutions organization.

We are looking for an indirect tax specialist to help design, improve user experience, and develop complex tax functions within these tools. You will participate throughout the project lifecycle, working with management during development, refinement, and user training when the tools are deployed to compliance teams. This is a unique opportunity to leverage Amazon\’s resources to develop cutting-edge global indirect tax reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate actively in designing and building global indirect tax reporting tools.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and requirements documentation.
• Take ownership of tasks and deliver results, ideal for a compliance specialist interested in tax technology and global tax tools development.

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in indirect tax (VAT/GST), with a public accounting firm, law firm, or industry.
• Experience with global indirect tax reporting tools—using, building, or consulting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor\’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Tax, Business, Finance, or related fields.
• Experience with international VAT in advisory or compliance roles.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, informal, and ambiguous environment.
• Strong ownership, responsibility, organization, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
