THE COMPANY
This company based in the Medway area of Kent has experienced significant growth in recent years and is recruiting for a Project Manager with a construction/M&E background. THE JOB
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from tender through to completion — ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. You will work closely with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and your internal team to ensure projects run smoothly from mobilisation to final handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full project lifecycle management across M&E projects
- Development of detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules
- Oversee resource planning and subcontractor management
- Lead pre-start meetings, project delivery reviews, and client communications
- Identify and resolve project risks, delays, or issues
- Monitor budgets, profit margins, and produce cost forecasts
- Ensure compliance with H&S standards and site documentation
- Provide leadership to project teams and support staff performance
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Recent experience in a Mechanical Project Manager position, proven track record of managing mechanical packages on M&E or building services projects
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field
- Strong understanding of HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, and plumbing systems
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, legislation, and building regulations
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve problems quickly
- Competent with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
