We are a small CIC company who have just started out running over two years now. We are focused initially on Winchester and are struggling to let people in need know that there is help available today. We run wellbeing workshops and courses over 8 weeks, which is a safe, confidential, and structured group talk therapy. It brings many benefits to those who attend – from getting them out for a couple of hours, breaking their isolation, allowing them to speak safely about their issues, learn how to build self-esteem and coping strategies, and to help them build support networks with people in a similar situation.

We are doing our very best to bring professional counselling services to as many people as possible at this time of high demand and shrinking provision. I hope that this is of interest to you and that you can help us reach out to our community and help those most in need and yet the least able to afford support.

We are looking for volunteers to help:

  • Reach out to wider communities to invite participants to sign up for our workshops and courses. This is done usually via marketing social media, emailing organisations, distributing flyers and leaflets and liaising with other organisations.
  • Help with business and financial advice.
  • Actively involved in the practical running of workshops and courses.
  • Cooking light lunch for workshops.
  • Marketing, personal relations and administration.
  • Website building and maintenance.
  • Fundraising and applying for grants.

Skills:

  • Some knowledge and interest in mental health problems.
  • Good listening and communication skills.
  • Administration and office skills.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and content creating.
  • Computer, IT and websites.
  • Business skills.
  • Applying for funding and grant applications.
