Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Sales & Marketing Assistant to join the Akoni Technologies team. This role will be pivotal in supporting our sales and marketing efforts, ensuring smooth coordination and execution of various campaigns and initiatives. The ideal candidate is organised, open-minded, creative, and possesses excellent communication skills.
Skills & Responsibilities:
Marketing Support:
- Reporting to the Digital Marketing & Communications Manager, you will support in the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, print, social media, etc.).
- Coordinate with external agencies and vendors to execute marketing collateral and promotional materials.
- Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Provide administrative support to the sales team, including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and managing correspondence.
- Be comfortable and proactive in making sales calls, and confident in presenting to potential clients.
- Assist in the preparation of sales proposals, contracts, and quotations.
- Maintain and update customer databases and systems.
Content Creation:
- Contribute to the creation of marketing content such as blog posts, social media posts, and the Akoni podcast.
- Comfortable with featuring in videos and various content outputs.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and resonates with target audiences.
Market Research:
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor activities.
- Assist in gathering customer feedback and insights to refine marketing strategies.
Event Coordination:
- Support the planning and execution of events, trade shows, and exhibitions.
- Coordinate logistics, promotional materials, and onsite support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
- Proven experience (1-2 years) in a marketing or sales support role.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and familiarity with marketing software and tools.
