Criminal Defence Paralegal

We are a boutique criminal defence firm, ranked in the Legal 500 for our nationwide work across the whole of England and Wales.

As an experienced criminal law paralegal, you will already be familiar with all areas of criminal and motoring law and will be experienced in:

1. Preparing Proofs of Evidence and witness statements
2. Reviewing evidence and accessing case law
3. Speaking to prospective clients and advising about their cases
4. Contacting the courts, CPS, police and other organisations
5. Rule 39 correspondence and engaging with individuals in prison
6. Preparing Briefs to Counsel and instructing barristers, together with liaising with counsel\’s clerks

While most of your time will be office based, you will be required to travel on occasion to visit clients in prison, conduct home visits, and sit behind Counsel during trials.

You will thrive under pressure and be fully able to use your initiative. You will be efficient with your time and a great team player.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £20,500.00 per year
