The MetaHuman team at Epic Games is looking for an Engine Software Engineer to collaborate with our pipeline team in capturing ML datasets and our product teams on our cutting-edge technologies. Working alongside our various teams of talented professionals, you’ll help us push the boundaries and maximise Metahumans' potential. In this role, you will:
- Work in UE to facilitate the creation of datasets for ML training
- Collaborate with the MetaHuman research team to implement product features in Unreal Engine and Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN)
- Identify and solve technical challenges
- Contribute to documentation and best practices
What we’re looking for:
- Strong proficiency in C++ programming
- Professional experience in the games industry in a programming/engineering role with a focus on engine development and tooling
- Excellent communication skills
- A passion for gaming technology and innovation
- Knowledge of character animation systems is desirable
- Experience with UE4/UE5 and/or UEFN is a plus
