The Principal Consultant will help grow the Power and Renewables Consulting practice within the EMEA region, focusing on project execution and developing relationships with key clients. The role requires solid knowledge of power and renewables market dynamics across countries in EMEA and the wider energy value chain.
Main Responsibilities:
- Project management: Effective project planning, securing resources, tracking progress, keeping clients updated, overseeing contributions of others, reviewing projects, and identifying follow-up opportunities.
- Business development: Supporting business development activities, managing client relationships, developing global offerings, and contributing to thought leadership.
- Analysis: Coaching project team members, contributing to consulting presentations, extracting and analysing data, ensuring high-quality analysis, and defending work to clients.
- Communication: Maintaining effective communication with clients, demonstrating strong written and verbal skills, and presenting clearly to clients and colleagues.
- Teamwork: Working effectively across teams, adopting a flexible approach, and supporting consulting practice development.
About You:
The Principal Consultant role is highly commercial, combining analytical rigor and problem-solving with skilled execution of deliverables. Candidates should have direct experience in the power & renewables industry or a related consulting environment, preferably with 5-8 years of experience. A strong understanding of power industry dynamics, analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are essential.
