This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated to work in a dynamic team and contribute to our Investment Banking business. As an Investment Banking Associate in the UK M&A team, you will be involved throughout the lifecycle of M&A transactions across various sectors. You will gain exposure to major M&A deals in the UK, working for one of the country's leading M&A advisory franchises. You will play a vital role in supporting the execution of public and private M&A transactions involving UK corporate and financial sponsor clients, as well as overseas clients with UK-based businesses. Working with expert professionals at a leading global investment bank, you will have access to formal training, hands-on learning, continuous mentoring, feedback, and numerous development opportunities. You will develop strong skills in investment banking and have the opportunity to grow into a senior role capable of generating and executing transactions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with J.P. Morgan product and sector teams
  • Build and utilize complex financial models, perform valuation and analytical exercises
  • Draft presentation materials, including management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums, and other documents for M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client discussions
  • Support transaction execution: due diligence, document preparation, negotiations, and liaising with clients and advisers (accounting, legal, etc.)
  • Stay informed on market developments and understand target client bases and market dynamics
  • Monitor shareholder activism in the UK and assist in developing client strategies

  • Proven significant experience in Investment Banking
  • Exceptional financial analysis and modeling skills
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Interest in and focus on deal execution
  • Fluent in English

  • Deep understanding of investment banking products
  • Experience dealing with clients
  • Experience with M&A transactions
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills
  • Knowledge of UK Takeover Code transactions (beneficial)
  • Languages other than English are advantageous but not required
