Motor Underwriter

Roles available: One senior and one mid level.

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Motor Underwriter to join our clients team in the City of London (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of motor underwriting experience and possess strong knowledge of insurance product features and processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Underwrite personal motor insurances within agreed guidelines and authority levels.
• Underwrite new and existing businesses, provide quotes, and negotiate pricing.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with brokers, providing technical support.
• Provide high-quality customer service and handle all queries.
• Ensure accurate policy documentation is issued to brokers or customers.
• Liaise with other departments such as Claims, Finance, and IT.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 3+ years of motor underwriting experience
• Knowledge of insurance product features and processes.
• Good knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication and negotiating skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

DAY TO DAY

• Underwriting personal motor insurances.
• Developing and maintaining broker relationships.
• Providing technical support to brokers.
• Ensuring accurate policy documentation.
• Liaising with various internal departments.
