Junior Demand Planner Location: RG30 3RR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking. Package: £ 29,000 to £ 40,000. (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience). Working pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. We will consider flexible working requests so that your work may fit in with your lifestyle, however the role is primarily office based. Let us introduce the role Working within Operations Management and Planning function, this role will be working within the Conventional Materials Operations area responsible for managing incoming demand, creating and maintaining long-range capacity plans, and acting as customer communications interface. This role is ideally suited to candidates with high potential, who have the skills and attributes to be able to be developed into a Demand Planner / Production Planner. Who are we looking for? We do need you to demonstrate the following: · MS Office (Excel / Word / Outlook / PowerPoint / Project). · Experience of working in operational environment (customer service, production, warehousing, and/or supply chain functions). · Potential for good customer relationship skills. · Able to solve complex problems. · Be a team player and support the team. · To be organised. · Demonstrates a high attention to detail. · Mindset of continuous improvement. · Logical / Evidence based reasoning. · Work with the team manager on ad-hoc projects. · Is analytical and makes data driven decisions. · Is process driven. · Has excellent inter-personal skills. · Able and comfortable to collaborate with multiple stakeholders. · Has excellent written and verbal communications skills. · Operates proactively and dynamically. · Behaves transparently and honestly. Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we\’d like you to have experience in some of the following: · Production Planning or Project Planning. · ERP / MRP2 systems. · Planning software e.g. SAP S/4 HANA, Primavera (P6), MS Project. · A relevant manufacturing or planning-related professional qualification. · An educational degree in the mechanical sector. You\’ll need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload. You will also have initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines. Key Accountabilities: · Translate incoming demand onto the Rough-Cut Capacity Plan and discuss potential delivery dates with the customer. · Organise task review for draft drawings (with all relevant stakeholders) to support the transition from design to manufacture. · Support the customer with development of internal demands until ready for submission. · Through regular meetings keep the customer up to date with progress of all demands. · Support the team with customer communications. · Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and to be a great team player.
