HGV Mechanic – Bridgend, UK

At John Raymond Transport we are looking for fully qualified HGV Technicians/Mechanics to join our team in Bridgend. We are seeking enthusiastic skilled people who will add skills and experience to our workshop.

The position of HGV Technician involves:

• Diagnosing and fault finding on vehicles and trailers using latest diagnostic equipment.
• Ensure all vehicles & trailers are maintained in accordance with DVSA and manufacturer’s specifications.
• Ensure all documents are filled out accurately and on time.
• Ensure best practice in relation to maintenance procedures.
• Work as part of a team to maintain and build employee and customer relations to ensure the workshop operations achieves its objectives and targets.
• Maintain a clean and tidy workplace environment.
• Ensure all relevant legislation and Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.

Essential skills required for HGV Technician:

• Qualified HGV Technician up to Level 3 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and repair)
• HGV Class 1 CE licence beneficial but not necessary.
• 3 years previous experience required.
• Ability to carry out PMI to DVSA standards.
• Ability to work to deadlines and under own initiative.
